PMAN Property / Real Estate Management System - major features

Your role   Designed to help organisations who develop, maintain and administer properties and real estate. PMAN supports many persons (individuals, corporates, groups etc.) and is neutral in terms of who the persons are in relation to you. You define your own role(s) and the role of all other parties.
Size/usage   Caters for properties/units of any size and usage - residential, commercial, industrial etc. Unlimited number of properties, each optionally with an unlimited number of units. User-defined property/unit classifications.
Leases/Jobs   Letting and construction/maintenance commitments recorded in lease and job records (incuding project references). Multiple detailed items for each lease/job permit low-level definition of commitments by all parties. Automatic generation of integrated accounting entries with full references back to source items.
Diary   On-going activities managed by integrated diary. User-defined diary item types. All diary items cross-referenced by property/unit/lease/job for ease of use. Diary item chains (one diary item gives rise to one or more further items) fully supported.
Accounting   Fully integrated multi-currency accounting ledgers covering all parties to property transactions and their payments in/out. User-defined income/expense classifications and debit/credit note types. All accounting transactions controlled by voucher system with full audit trail.
Documentation   Full technical and user documentation (150+ pages). We document what you need to understand - not what the PMAN system obviously is/does.
Development   Written completely using the CASE tool Advantage 2E (Cool:2E, Synon/2) to take full advantage of the features of the IBM ISeries (AS/400, AS400). All fields, files and functions fully documented. We can easily extend the system to fit your specific requirements, or you can use Advantage 2E to extend the system yourself. Open database structure allows your own extensions e.g. your specific management reporting or business documents.
Pricing   US$ 15,000 for full system - on any model ISeries (single CPU license). Multiple site (CPU) license terms available. US$ 50,000 for full system plus Advantage 2E model which you can customise yourself.

PMAN downloads

All documentation for PMAN is available for download in Microsoft Word format, individually compressed in ZIP files. Please select from:

Management Summary:   15 Pages. Overview of main PMAN features - persons, properties/units, accounting, diary, technical.
User Guide:   50 Pages. Quite high level. Discusses alternative approaches to the use of PMAN. It is not intended to be a detailed guide which exactly defines the use of the system at your business. In particular, it does not cover procedures surrounding your use of the system or the exact PMAN codes which you should use. You may want to develop your own user guide which covers these points.
Implementation Guide:   15 pages. Suggests the steps needed to implement the PMAN system. Intended for fairly senior IT personnel or other non-technical personnel who will assume responsibility for the PMAN implementation. Includes recommended implementation project tasks to help you develop your implementation plan.
Input Procedures Guide   60 Pages. Gives the requirements for PMAN input. Does not make any recommendations as to the input standards (e.g. coding conventions) you should follow. You should define these as part of your PMAN implementation project and ongoing support, using the PMAN User Guide to help you.
Input Forms:   To accompany Input Procedures Guide above. 40 input forms (written in HTML) which you can download and customise. You can also view the forms online.
Technical Guide:   15 Pages. Explains technical features of the PMAN system. Intended for fairly senior IT personnel who wish to obtain an understanding of PMAN. Assumes that you have a reasonably good knowledge of the IBM ISeries hardware on which PMAN runs. Includes overview of Advantage 2E model.

IBM rebranded the AS/400 - some users called it AS400 - to ISeries several years ago. All 3 names - ISeries, AS/400, AS400 - refer to exactly the same system.

Computer Associates now owns the development platform Advantage 2E, that at one time was branded Cool:2E and started life as Synon/2. All these names refer to exactly the same CASE tool.
